With awareness of your own individual social style, as well as others, comes the ability to have more effective communications and relationships. The social styles profile is based upon my strengths and gives me a chance to see the strengths of my classmates. With an awareness of the spectrum of social styles, I develop greater tolerance and understanding of other styles, and gain greater versatility in communicating.
My primary and secondary social styles were expressive and amiable. This meaning that I like to be treated kindly and sweetly. I don't like harsh stubborn people. I feel misunderstood when I'm trying to take care of myself because I have a tendency to take care of others more often than I do myself. For others to relate to me more easily, they could just try to express how they feel or what they're thinking more frequently. For me to relate to drivers, I could just try my hardest to get things done. For analytical people, I will try to take my time with them because I know they tend to take longer than most to get things done. I get stressed when I feel overwhelmed by all aspects of my life. I tend to stay away from others when I'm stressed and my face actually looks a lot more tense. I noticed that it seems like every time I'm depressed, it's because of stress. I feel that expressive and amiable fit me well.
